Gerald Griffin’s Conviction Quashed
HIGH COURT ALLOWS APPEAL United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Monday, 10.30 p.m. SYDNEY, April 8. The High Court to-day allowed the appeal of Gerald Griffin and quashed his conviction as a prohibited inunigrant. The Commonwealth Government was ordered to pay the costs. Justice Sir George Rich declared that the Immigration Act was most confused on many important points and well merited the attention of the Legislature.
