Sustenance Men Cease Work
OBJECT TO PERFORMING SKILLED LABOUR. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrigh t. MELBOURNE, March 21. Following the Ministry’s decision that skilled labour should be performed as sustenance work, 400 men who have been engaged on Government work in various parts of Melbourne ceased work and many more of the 12,000 sustenance workers in the metropolitan areas decided to leave work at the week-end.
