Probate has been granted in the estate of the late Archbishop Redwood. Tho estate is approximately £240, plus the famous Stradivarius violin. Last evening Edward MacGregor, aged 12 years, of Koputaroa, who had fallen from a horse and broken a leg, was admitted to the Palmerston North Public Hospital. The discovery that tho white butterfly parasite had made its appearanco iu the Pohangina valley without direct liberation there, was reported to the Dairy Farmers’ Union yesterday when satisfaction was expressed by members at the prospect of the ravages of the pest being lessened. It was also intimated that there was no truth in the rumour that tho parasite was attacking the brood of bees in hives.
