Assistance for Rural Mortgagors
BUSINESS-MEN PROTEST AT EQUITY PROPOSAL DUNEDIN, March 19, The following resolution was passed by the Council of the Chamber of Commerce to-night: “This chamber feels that the Rural Mortgagors’ Final Adjustment Bill in its present form is unnecessary and dangerous, and, in particular, protests against an equity being given to one section of the community at the expanse of another section. This chamber therefore supports the report of the central committee of the Associated Chambers.”
