Swarms of Bees

RELEASED BY COLLISION Thousands of bees wore lately released by a collision near Port Pirie, South Australia, between a motor-lorry, on which 30 hives were being carried, and a car. The bees stung the occupants while they were lying injured on the road. The lorry was driven by Mr E. Bam, an apiarist, and the car contained five cricketers. :Two of the cricketers -were admitted to hospital. Nearly all those on either vehicle were badly stung. One man’s ilectness of foot saved him. It was impossible to ascertain the extent of the damage to the vehicles owing to tho clouds of bees obscuring them.
