Mrs. McCarthy (Woodvillc) and Miss Tennant (Palmerston North) were beaten in the second round of tho mixed championship doubles in the Southern Hawke’s Bay croquet tournament by Mesdamcs A. Gillespie and Soundy, the score being 20—13. • In the Southern Hawke’s Bay open championship singles, second life, third round, Mrs. Glass (Dauuevirkc) beat Mrs. MeOartby, 20—0. Further finals played were:—Women’s championship: Mrs. Hogan (Wellington) beat Mrs. Robertson (Scatoun), 20—23, 20 —24. B grade championship: Mrs. Rees Davis (Hastings) beat Mrs. Thornton (Wellington), 26—£
