ADDITIONAL RESULTS OF PLAY Some Jii'ty players took part in the tennis tournament at the Takaroßowling, Croquet and Tennis Club’s gala this week, and it was won by Mrs Ik Littlejohn and CL Tapp. There was a large crowd in httendanco at a dance held in the Takaro Church hall in the evening, when Mr L. Cooksley was M.C. At; an appropriate interval the president (Mr Just) presented trophies won during the season as. follow: —Men’s ..championship singles, R. Tapp; women’s championship singles, Sirs M. Heald; men’s handicap singles, R. Tapp; women’s handicap singles, Miss C. McCulloch; men’s handicap doubles, 11. and Ct. Tapp; women’s handicap doubles,. Mrs Heald and Miss J. Spilmau; mixed handicap doubles, D. McMurray and Miss R. Kirk; junior singles, Miss P. Sowcrby; Wednesday champion, G. Tapp; special handicap competition, E. Carter, (men), Mrs Louden (women). Meanwhile, a very pleasant card party was held at the club pavilion. E. Simpson won the ladies’ prize, J. Durham that for the men, and Mrs Lyhll the consolation award.
