CHINA'S SILVER DRAIN
LONDON, March 5.
The Sun-Herald learns that the British havo dispatched a Note to China, Japan, France, and America, intimating that an international loan to China is impracticable. The British pessimistically view China’s position owing to severe deflation duo to the rise of silver, and see no prospect of foreign assistance (collective or individual) if silver continues to rise, as loans in such conditions resemble pouring water down a drain.
