- From Our Own Correspondent. Tennis. Last Saturday Halcombe’s A tennis team travelled to Cheltenham to play the Cheltenham A team for the Guy Cup, the visitors being beaten by 12 sets to 4. " Cheltenham’s ,■ B team also played against Plalcombe’s B team at Haleombe, the game finishing, in favour of Haleombe by ten sets to six. The following were the individual scores, Cheltenham players being mentioned first: — Ladies’ singles: Mrs. Stewart beat Miss M. Clapham 4—3; Miss Dunstan beat Miss McGreal 4—3; Miss Wilson beat Miss James 4—l; Miss E. Thompson lost to Miss D. Rogers I—4.1 —4. Men's singles: A. Humphrey lost to E. Cowdrey 2—4; F. Brady, of Marion, was a visitor at Haleombe during the week-end.
