Feilding Schools’ Dental Clinic
TREATMENT AT Is PER CHILD. “That children attending primary schools could receive expert dental treatment for Is a year was social ser vice par excellence/ ’ said Mr. J Penney, chairman, at Monday's meet ing of the Lytton Street School Com mitteo at Feilding, when discussing a letter from the Fdilding Schools' Dental Clinic Committee regarding the annual lew.
The letter from the clinic committee stated that the levy apportioned to the school this year was £8 5s which worked out at the rate of Is per child. The chairman said that ho had every admiration for the way the clinic was conducted by the committee and he had not heard of any other schools, outside tho Feilding district receiving treatment at such a lore rate. Perhaps, though, parents did not realise that this low charge was made possible by the ladies of the school and dental clinic committees who worked so hard at the annual school sports each year with the catering and various stalls to raise funds to help the clinic. They wendoing a splendid service, the chairman added, and parents could best show their admiration of their work by remitting the Is charge on each child as quickly as possible.
