From Our Own 'Correspondent. The residence of Mrs. A. Small was the scene of a very happy occasion last Wednesday afternoon, a number of Miss Molly Small's friends being present to celebrate her coming of age. The time was enjoyably spent with competitions, two of which were won by Mrs. G, Burmeister, and Misses I. Green and J. Eglinton respectively. Miss Small’s popularity- was evidenced by the number of voluable presents she received. A birthday repast was served and occupying pride of place on the table was the cake crowned with 21 kewpies, iced by Mrs. P. G. Murphy, a sister of the guest of honour. The toast to Miss Small was proposed ,by Mr. P. J. Swindell, the response “For She’s A JollyGood Fellow” being sung in hearty manner, Miss Small briefly returning her thanks. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Swindell, Mrs. A. AlcCool, Mrs. K. Fraser, Mrs. F. G. Murphy, Airs. H. R. Green, Mrs. M. Burmeister, Airs. G. Bacon, Mrs. G. Burmeister, Airs. •E. Alallett, Airs. P. J. Eglinton, Misses V. Alontgomery, E. Burmeister, Edna Green, Irene Green, Olivo Green, Joyce Green, Jean Eglinton.
