The Ontario having signalled after dinner last night that she was on a correct bearing, the Australia left the Seth Parker after an' exchange of farewell messages. The cruiser is now steaming for Balboa at under 13 knots in view of the necessity for husbanding fuel. Incidentally the Australia will have been at sea 25 days continuously, which is probably a record for the Navy since the war. In consequence of the time lost, it has been decided to omit calls at the Bahamas" find'Bermuda, The Duke will be in Jamaica from March 6 to 16, arriving at Portsmouth on March 28. It is hoped the official calls at Balboa on the morning of March 4, will be completed in time to permit the Duke to fly the Gatuu Lock, rejoining the cruiser the same day.
