Attractions Offering at All Saints’ Garden Fete

BEVY OF BEAUTIFUL DOLLS. With every prospect of a continuation of perfect summer weather the garden party in aid of All Saints’ vicarage fund, to be held to-morrow in the beautiful grounds surrounding Mrs. A. Bussell’s residence, “Wliararata,” Fitzherbert, promises to bo an outstanding event. The ladies, who have been working so enthusiastically in preparation for this fixture, however, have left nothing to chance, and huge marquees are in readiness in case of a sudden downpour. Lovely articles have been fashioned by nimble fingers, toothsome dainties havo been prepared in abundance, and everything possible has been Arranged for the entertainment of patrons in an ideal setting. Despite the long dry spell the grounds are looking a picture with sloping lawns and gay flower beds and the welcoming shade of spreading trees to entice the city folk. The star attraction of the fete will be the dolls specially imported from England by Mrs. Bussell, which are at present on view in a window of Messrs. Collinson and Cunninghamo’s store. Every little girl—and big girls, too—will desire to possess one, so exquisitely have they been dressed in dainty handmade garments finely stitched, some trimmed with real lace, all showing the work of expert, neeedlewomon. Most attractive are the fairy dolls, and the baby dolls in their cosy rots, will make a strong appeal.
