Well-known Sydney Journalist United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, Feb. 3. A well-known Sydney journalist, the chief law reporter for the Sun, Mr E. George Marks, died yesterday as a result of a fall from a tram tbe previous day. He was 50 years of age. Ho was the author of many articles on Napoleon.

Mr J. S. Fletcher , LONDON, Feb. 1. The death has occurred of Mr J. S. Fletcher, novelist, at the age of 71. Mr Fletcher, who was a native of Halifax, was tho author of a long series of popular novels, many dealing with Yorkshire life.
