On Saturday a team representing Aokautere Tennis Club journeyed tod Pohangina where a. match was played against the local enthusiasts. After an enjoyable afternoon's play, Pohangina proved to be the victors by a comfortable margin, the scores being, Pohangina 19 sets M 0 games, Aokautere 5 sets, 8< games. Mrs. Stuart Hunter of Auckland is the guest of her mother, Mrs. G. AVagstaff, Pohangina. Mrs. D. AVatson and family, of Pohangina, are holidaying at Paraparaumu. Mrs. T. Sinclair and Master Don Sinclair, of Pohangina, are visiting AVellington.
Mr. G. AVagstaff snr., of Pohangina, underwent a serious operation in a Palmerston North private hospital on Monday. ■ His many friends will be glad to learn that he is progressing satisfactorilv, and will wish him a speedy recovery.
