Lytton Street School

SUCCESSFUL PARENTS’ DAT

GATHERING

Favoured with ideal weather conditions, Lytton Street School, Feilding, yesterday held its annual Parents’ Day gathering when the' attendance of adults was larger than on previous occasions. The children of each class arranged displays of their work which in every case reflected the valuable as well as the high standard of training that the school offers. Mr. C. A. Balt, the headmaster, was well pleased with the interest manifested by parents in the school’s work and stated that it was most encouraging for the staff to know that parents were behind them to the extent of combining to further the interest and welfare of the institution.

The school sports were decided on the largo recreation ground and provided an attraction that held the attention of visitors during the afternoon. The children conducted a stall from which a sum of over £5 was netted.
