Queen Carnival
SCOTTISH SOCIETY’S NOMINEE. The programme arranged by ilic Scottish Society in connection with the queen carnival will be continued to-night at the Cosmopolitan liall, when the inglesido will be in the form of a pleasure cruise around the world. The hall will bo arranged as a ship’s deck and will be under the control of special ships’ officers who will entertain the passengers by providing dances peculiar to the various countries visited during the voyage. A special novelty event will be introduced when tho Pacific is crossed, and patrons are assured of many entertaining lights. On Thursday next at 2.30 p.m. the ladies’ committee arc holding a jumble sale in tho Orange hall, when a great variety of goods will bo displayed for salo and the public arc assured of obtaining some excellent bargains.
