Cricket Control in Feilding

The management committee of the Feiiding Cricket Association met on Friday night, Mr. G. J. Fitzpatrick presiding. Correspondence was received from the Manawatu Cricket Association regarding a representative gamo with Feiiding on December 1. This being the date for which the Feiiding Association had previously accepted an invitation t.o meet Dannevirke, it was left in the hands of Mr. Donaldson to interview the officials of the Manawatu Association with a view to arrangements being made whereby the clash in dates could be averted to the satisfaction of all concerned.

Discussing the proposal to raise funds for the erection of a pavilion on Kowhai Park, the committee decided to call a further meeting of cricketers to go fully into the suggestions afoot. Indications were that the queen carnival proposal had not been favourably accepted in some quarters and this and other methods of raising the money required are to be investigated at the forthcoming meeting of cricket supporters.

Application was made by Eev. E. 0. Blamires for his transfer from the Colyton Cricket Club to the Public Service Club, the committee approving.
