Yacht's Voyage From Suva
AUCKLAND REACHED IN 13 DAYS Per Press Assoclatlon; AUCKLAND, Last Night. Flying the Suva and. Clubs’ colours, the ftve-tqn,yawl-rigged yacht Seafarer arrived at Auckland from Suva to-day after a voyage of 13 days. The passage was without incident. Easterly weather was experienced for the first four days and the vessel made excellent progress, averaging 120 miles daily. The wind changed to south and the Seafarer bore'westward until 150 miles off North Cape, when easterlies were again experienced. 'The •weather, coming down the coast, was thick with heavy rain. This is thd second voyage the Seafarer has made to New island. Although the vessel was entered for the Tasman yacht race by the Tamaki Club, the skipper, Mr. G. V. Langdale, of Suva, who was accompanied by three Suva residents and a Marquesan seaman, said he would be unable to compete, owing to other arrangements. He intends to return to Suva in three months’ time.
