Obituary
MRS. J. LIVING-STONE, The death occurred last week of Mrs Margaret Ellen Livingstone, wife of Mr James Livingstone, of Eitzherbcrt avenue, iu her 7Sth year. Mrs Livingstone was a native of Ireland, having been born in Belfast, and it was while a resident of that city that she met her husband, who was then in the police force.. However, after their marriage Mr Livingstone decided to seek his fortune overseas, and they sailed from Glasgow in the sailing ship Nebo iu May, ISS3. After a voyage, of 9.1 days they arrived at . Rockhampton, Queensland, where Mr Livingstone received an appointment with the Queensland Central Railway, a position ho held for some years. Mir Livingstone then brought his family to New Zealand four decades.ago, landing in Auckland when the Dominion was mourning the death of its Premier, Mr. John Ballanee. There arre left to mourn the loss of a much-beloved mother two sons, Messrs James Livingstone, of Auckland, and David Livingstone, of Te Miro, Cambridge, both of whom served their country during the Great War, and sixdaughters. The latter are Mesdames J. Autridge (Palmerston North), A. E. Irving (Niho Nilio, King Country), A. E. Thomas (Sangringham, Auckland), J. Gillespie (Hataitai, Wellington), L. Simmons (Napier) and L. Craig (Ellerslio, Auckland). Mr Livingstone, despite being in his 53rd year, enjoys splendid health. There are also 21 grandchildren, 13 of whom are grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
