Gift Evening Held at Rangiwahia

On the eve of their marriage, Miss Mavis Kroger and Mr- Len Martin wore tendered a kitchen-tea evening, As the young couple have lived all their lives in the Kangiwahia district, there was a large .attendance of. friends and well-wishers. At a suitable juncture Mr D. F. Couper called upon the guests of the evening to accept a large and varied assortment of household goods. He spoke of the popularity of both Miss Kreger and Mr Martin, and said that the only regret was that they were not making their home in Kangiwahia but in Apiti. Musical honours were accorded the young couple, Mr. Martin suitably responding. The evening took the form of a dance, music being supplied by Mrs F. H. Thompson and Messrs. Carr and Clarke, and Miss Hore and Mr Fagan. Mr H. Meads was M.C.
