Fanner’s Unenviable Experience
SEIZURE WHILE PLOUGHING
A severe illness, as well as a nervewracking experience, befell Mr. Yv. 1. Mtors, of Waiata, who is at present an inmate of the Palmerston North Hospital. where although still in a serious condition, every hope is being held for his recovery.
Mr. Micrs was spending a few days working on an off-farm and while engaged in ploughing suffered a seizure, no doubt due to heat and over-exertion, and lay in a semi-conscious state for nearly 24 hours before being found by hj s S on, Mr. E. Miers, who happened to pay a chance visit to the farm. Tt is a remarkable fact that- the team, which included one young horse, stood the night thiough, Mr. Miers still having the reins in his hands when he was found. What would have been the result had the horses moved on. or had Mr. Miers’ son not visited the farm that day does not bear thinking about, but as it was, he received medical attention and was removed to hospital. His friends throughout the district wish him an early and complete recovery.
