Star-Bowkett Building Society
The monthly meeting of the directors was held on Tuesday evening. Mr. J. B. Gerrand presided. Also present were Messrs M. A. Eliott, S. W. Raplev, D. F. Smiilie, S. J. Watson and H. F. Wilson. An apology was received from Mr. F. Jackson. Tho results of tho ballots for free of interest loans was as follows: —No. 5 group, Air. C. E. Dempsey £500; No. 6 group, Mr. A. Penketh £llOO. Business in the groups was then dealt with. No. 3 group £SOO ballot was completed and £3OO authorised for deposit. Loans for £IOOO and £OOO were approved subject to valuer’s report in group 0. £SOO was passed for payment for loan in No. 7. £7OO ballot was authorised for deposit and loans for £SOO and £3OO approved in No. 8 group. £3OO was approved subject to valuation in No. 10 group.
