At tho wool sales 10,529 bales were offered and 9253 sold; also 1155 privately. Prices for best lines of fleece wools were again in the buyers' favour, especially where deficient in length. All other sorts were firm. There was strong, general competition, with increased support from Germany and Spain. Greasy merino made 19d.
