Feilding Salvation Army
VISIT OF WELLINGTON GIRLS’ SONGSTER BRIGADE The Wellington Salvation Army Girls’ Songster Brigado visited Feilding over the week-end. Arriving on Saturday evening, the brigade marched to the citadel. At 7 p.m. they marched down Manchester street, where they held a short openair meeting, and then returned to the citadel, where a splendid programme was rendered to a very appreciative audience.
Three meetings were conducted by these young people on Sunday. The attendances were good and the work of Ihe brigade under their leaders, Young People’s ftergt.-Major and Mrs Fountain and Deputy-Sergt.-Major Underwood, will long be remembered. The singing of the girls was thoroughly enjoyed. The visitors returned to Wellington on Monday afternoon. A crowd of well-wishers was on the railway station to say good-bye. The local corps and tho visiting brigado desire to thank those friends who entertained the visitors during the week-end—Mesdarncs C. Ende, Aekroyd, Mackintosh, lleskcth, Wilkes, Denehay, Rodgers, W. Harford, Hughes and Pidgcou.
