PERSONALITIES
Sir Arnold Thieler, the noted South African veterinarian and investigator of nutritional diseases of animals, accompanied by Mr. W. C. Barry, director of the Livestock Division of the Department of Agriculture, to-day will arrive in Palmerston North at mid-day and leave, for Wanganui to-morrow afternoon. A well-known and highly-esteemed citizen of Wellington, Rlr. Arthur Blapklock, died On Sunday at the age or 66 years. Until he retired about two years ago, Rlr. BlaCkloek held the position of joint manager of a wellknown soft goods firm. In his younger days lie was a prominent athlete, and was the youngest of a famous band of four brothers —James, Henry, Robert and Arthur Blacklock —who were prominent players for the Midland Cricket Club, and for the Wellington representative team in the ’eighties.
