Presbyterian Creed

DISPUTE IN AUSTRALIA,

SYDNEY, Sept. 22. A judicial commission, comprising thirty-two members of the Presbyterian Church throughout Australia, after hearing an appeal against the decision of the New South Wales Assembly in Alay last on tho subject of the teachings of Dr. Samuel Angus, dismissed the appeal in so far a.s the appellants asked for a judicial process against Dr. Angus. The commission urged that the parties in the case should take every opportunity for a frank, brotherly conference on matters where difference of opinion arose, and avoid wounding references to one another. The New South Wales Assembly’s decision, against which the appeal was made, was that action in reference to Angus’ teachings, which some members of the church held to be heretical, should be stayed until the General Assembly of Australia, which had appointed a committee on creed revision, had expressed its mind on tho matter.
