United Press Association —By EleetrlJ Telegrap la—Copy right.) Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 22. At Newcastle-on-Tync the new Australian cruiser, IT.M.A.S. Sydney, was launched by Mrs Bruce. Mr S. M. Bruce, replying to the toast of the Commonwealth at a luncheon following the launching, said a strong and efficient British Navy was the greatest insurance for world peace. Australia recognised that her own safety depended on the British Navy, but had done more for her own naval protection than any other part of the Empire outside Britain.
