Mainly Cloudy to Overcast For Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An anti-cyclone of considerable intensity covers New Zealand, while a rather deep depression is located in the south-west Tasman. Winds: Light to moderate and variable, with nortlierlies predominating and gradually freshening. Seas (New Zealand waters): Smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong and increasing northerly wiu-is, seas becoming rough. Weather: Mainly cloudy to overcast, with mist or fog in places; otherwise fine at first. Rain gradually developing in western districts and becoming fairly general after about 24 hours. Temperatures mild.
