Notes of the Day
At last evening’s meeting of the Feilding A. and P. Association a resolution of sympathy- with Mr F. S. Guy in the loss of his wife was carried in silence.
Discussing the encouragement of the Boys and Girls’ Calf Club movement at last evening’s meeting of the Feilding A. and P. Association, Mr H. J. Lancaster announced that lie proposed donating a shield for competition among the children. lie was not sure whether the shield should go to the child or the school, and on that point he was quito prepared to receive suggestions. His idea was to encourage the interest of the children in their exhibits and the objects of the competition generally. The thanks of the meeting were voted to Mr Lancaster.
Reference to the passing of Mr Ivarsten, of Feilding, was made at last evening’s meeting of tlie Fielding A. and P. Association, when the president (Mr D. W. Reid) recalled that the deceased gentleman was . r many years an exhibitor in the Ayrshire section at the show and had also acted as judge on several occasions. The meeting carried a resolution of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr Karsten.
