PURDY BEATS KOSHNITSKY United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. SYDNEY, Sept. IS. C. Purdy, the State chess champion, defeated G. Koshnitsky, the Australian champion, in their ten-game , match. At the end of the ninth game Purdy was leading with four wins, and three draws to Koshnitsky’s two wins and three draws. Thus the tenth game cannot affect tho result of the match.
