Flower Show at Rongotea

From Our Own Correspondent. Beautiful weather prevailed for the Spring Show staged by the Rongotea and District Horticultural Society and a successful exhibition was the result. The number of entries was larger than last year and tire quality of the blooms displayed far superior. Mrs. A. J. Will, president of the society, introduced Mr. .T. Linklater, M.P., who, prior to declaring the show officially open, congratulated the society upon the magnificent display of blooms and stated that, as always, it was a delight to him to open the Rongotea Show. 3Mr. Linklater also remarked upon the quality of the blooms, despite the inclement weather conditions which must have checked the growth of plants somewhat in their early stages. Tho champion bloom was won by air. .T. C. Glover with a "Rewa” and the champion bloom in tho amateur class was awarded to airs. C. A.
