A Sparkling British Comedy Is Scheduled

JACK BUCHANAN IS BACK IN “THAT’S A GOOD GIRL” (Regent, Screening Saturday.) That sparkling British comedy, “That’s a Good Girl,” is a rollicking musical play. Filmed just after its long reign on the legitimate stage at the Hippodrome, London, it is ono of the brightest musical comedies which has come this way for some time. That king of singing and dancing comedians, Jack Buchanan, has a part which suits him down to the ground, and he is excellently supported by Elsie Randolph in the eccentric rolo of “Snoopy." Vera Pearco does most convincing work as . the tempestuous prima donna, and she, Jack Buchanan, and Elsio Randolph contribute some delightful vocal numbers. Tho play is sumptuously mounted, tho dialogue snappy, and the fun is kept going on top gear throughout. Jack Buchanan, ono of the most popular figures on tho stage at .Home, has contributed many successes both to stage and screen, but the English critics agree that his latest picture is his groatest. Tho ensemble of the cast embraces 100 persons and splendid support is given to the star by Vera Pearce and Elsie Randolph, who is happy in an unusual character impersonation. Excellent supports will bo included on this bright programme.
