Enthusiastic Welcome on Arrival in England SCENES IN LONDON United Press Electric Telegraph —Copyright. LONDON, Sept. IG. Princess Marina made a triumphant progress from Folkestone to London. Thousands cheered her on her disembarking from the Channel steamer and shouted: "Welcome to our Princess,’-' men and women waving hats and handkerchiefs. As the train sped to London the countryfolk waved greetings. Princess Marina described her reception as "really too marvellous.’’ Prince Georgo welcomed the Princess with an affectionate kiss as she descended from the train at Victoria Station. Thousands of people, mostly women, waited hours to see Marina. The pair drove to York House, crowds strewing flowers on the way. In response to vociferous cheering the couple appeared at the window, George blushing like a schoolboy 1 . Marina, more at ease, caught the crowd’s enthusiasm and waved both hands vigorously. Equally large and enthusiastic crowds gathered at King’s Cross, from which Prince George, Princess Marina and her parents departed for Balmoral. Marina opened the window of the carriage and cried: "Thank you," and waved to the crowd until the train was out of sight. Handed Bouquet by Girl Guide Received Monday, 10.50 p.m. LONDON, Wept. 17. A small Girl Guide, after waiting an hour to see Princess Marina arrive at Victoria Station, was given permission to present her with a- bouquet and was rewarded with a charming smile. The Girl Guide was Helen Wtamataki. The car started, but Prince George called it to a halt to receive the bouquet, which was from the Greek colonv in London.
