WELCOME TO PAST Oil PAGE The Pelleting Baptist Church -way crowded on Priday night when the congregation gathered to extend a cordial welcome to Pastor Pago and his family, Welcome addresses were delivered by the Rev. Air. Matthews, of Palmerston North (chairman), on behalf of the Baptist Central Auxiliary, and of his Church at P'almerston North, the Rev. E. O. Blamires, Methodist, the Rev. Jas. Milne, Presbyterian, Adjutant RadcliiTe, of the Salvation Army, and Messrs J. Wratt and T. Hoker, on behalf of the Feilding Church. The staff of the Sunday School, the Christian Endeavour, the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Bible Classes and the adult Bible Class were represented and cordially gave greetings of welcome and loyalty to Mr. Page as tho new president. Appreciated items interspersing the speeches were given by Miss Joyce Hill, Mrs. K. Kendall, Miss I. Hughes and a duet aud quartetto by the members of the song company. Pastor Page, in his reply, thanked tho mooting and outlined his activities as pastor and citizen. Supper and introductions closed an enthusiastic meeting.
