OTAGO BEAT SOUTH CANTERBURY Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. Otago Rugby representatives defeated South Canterbury to-day by 22 points to 9. The game was played in ideal weather. For the winners Dunne (2), McSkimming, Arnold, Allen and Procter scored tries, Silver converting two. For the losers, Morrison and Black scored tries and Black kicked i penalty goal. Auckland Beaten GISBORNE, Last Night. For the second successive time Auckland shuffered defeat at the hand o£ Poverty Bay 10-day, the final score being 14 —13 in favour of the homesters. The Aucklanders, who meet Hawke’s Bay for the Eanfurly Shield on Saturday were really outclassed, and a margin of ten points would have been a better indication of the play, the visitors being thoroughly beaten back and forward.
