From Our Own Correspondent. The fourth of a. series of travel talks was given recently by Rev. Fotheringham of Shannon. There was a very good attendance considering counter attractions in the district. Mr. Fotheringham spoke on David Livingstone’s memorial in the very heart of Africa. Supper was served by the lady members of the Presbyterian Church.' The fifth and last talk on Darkest .Africa will bo given later in September. Miss G. Henderson, of Melbourne, is the guest of her brother, Mr. E. Henderson, and Mrs. Henderson, of Opiki. Miss Henderson is spending a six months’ holiday in New Zealand. Mrs. H. Wilson has returned to her home in Tane road after a holiday spent at Foxton beach.
