Feilding Chamber of Commerce

The committee of the Fcilding Chamber of Commerce met on Monday evening, Mr. A. J, Humphreys presiding. There wero also present the Mayor, Mr. C. E. Taylor, and Messrs C. Clark, T. S. Goldsmith, J. G. Tingcy, V. E. Smith, D. Finlay, G. J. Fitzpatrick and €. S. Jeffs.

In reply to tho demand of tho Associated Chambers for tho affiliation fee on. the basis of 3s fid per member, the committee decided to offer As Cd por member in full discharge of its liability. It was stated that llio affiliation foe was originally Is Gd per member and then increased to 2s Gd and now 3s fid was demanded. Messrs J. G. Eliott and A. J, Xellow wero appointed delegates to a conference of district chambers to be held at Foxtou to consider matters of importance to business interests.
