Complaints by Members Of All Black Party NO JUSTIFICATION, SAYS PORTER Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. “I say definitely there was absolutely no call for it," said the ex-Ail Black captain, C. G. Porter, who arrived by tho R.M.S. Alakura from Sydney to-day. referring to the complaints of some members of the All Black party about Australian referees. Porter confirmed tho remarks he had made in an interview with tho Sydney Daily Telegraph last week. When a team won squealing it was bad enough, ho said, but when it lost it was worse. Porter said that, while Air Irving may have been too technical in his rulings, he was the same to both teams. “I did not see any partiality on either side," lie said, “and congratulated the referee afterwards on his fine display.” Gross Misrepresentation Claimed by Mr. Geddes Received Alonday, 7.50 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 3. The secretary of the Rugby Union lias received a cable from Mr A. J. Geddes (manager of the All Black team which visited Australia): "Regret gross misrepresentation of remarks regarding refereeing; no slight intended. Nobody has anything but praise for whole tour."
