Mansell; J. S. Tricker defeated K. J. Carter; It. F. Scott defeated A. K. Drew. The semi-finals will be plaj’ed during the second week of September. The following have completed their third round games in the Rangitikei handicap: jA. Aitlren won from A. McCormack by default; P. Jeffries defeated D. Sadler; V.. Dean defeated H. Tricker; R. Ingram defeated C. Price; K. AV. Dalrymplc defeated F. S. Collier. The final of the ladies’ handicap matches for Miss McKenzie's trophy was concluded on Saturday when Airs. 1 richer defeated Mrs. MeDonell 2 up on tho lbth green
Match Against Seafield. Members of the Seafield Golf Club visited Bulls on Sunday as guests of the Riuigitikci Club. At a recent meeting of the committee of the Bulls Tennis Club, tenders were dealt with for the top-dressing numbers 1,2 and 3 courts, and after duo consideration the tender of Mr. Heatley (Palmerston North) was accepted, and Messrs Mansell, ltalfe and Gould were deputed to supervise the work. The club’s bank account was reported to be in credit by some £33 10s lid, with several subscriptions to come in. Very favourable comment was passed on the work of Mr. R. Young in the Domain gardens .adjacent to the courts.
