The Late Mrs James Dewe
FUNERAL AND MEMORIAL SERVICE. The Feilding Salvation Army Citadel was tho sccuo of another funeral and memorial gathering on Sunday—the second within a week —the occasion being tho obsequies in connection with tho late Mrs. .James Dewe, a veteran member of the Feilding Corps. Tho largo citadel was filled with members, friends and citizens, gathered together to pay tribute to a highly respected and inueh-loved member of the community, The service was conducted by Adjutant Eadeliffe and tho culogium was given by Mrs. Brigadier Cottcrol! from Palmerston North. Tho lengthy cortege to the cemetery was led by the Army Band, playing “Tho Garland of Flowers.” Six sons acted as bearers. The service at the graveside was conducted by Adjutant EadclifTe. In the evening a memorial service was held in the citadel. Bandsman H. Packer paid tribute to a fellow soldier of the corps, one to whom all members could testify of a helpful and holy life. The choristers sang ‘There 13 No Ifricnd Like Jesus,” and Lieut. Hawker sang “The Christian Good-night.” Adjutant Eadclillo spoko of the triumphant entry of their sister into her rest as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
