The Secretary of the Treasury (Mr. Morgcnth.au) announced that the deficit at the end of the fiscal year on June 30 aggregated 3,989,000,000 dollars. The public debt reached the record high level of 27,053,000,000 dollars, compared with 22,539,000,000 dollars at the same date in 1933.
