National Dairy Show
The Manawatu and West Coast Agricultural and Pastoral Association stands for the progress and prosperity of the man on the land, and its ehief energies have always been bent in that direction. In conjunction with its wider activities the association has shown a generous inclination to promote the agricultural education of the younger generation, particularly in instituting boys’ and girls’ clubs. The womenfolk are especially well catered for in tho knitting, needlework and cookery divisions of the Winter Show and skilful bands should take this opportunity of displaying their capabities in these departments. This year a new apd interesting feature will be the display of Women’s Institute courts in tho entertainment hall. A buck-jumping contest will be staged for which prizes tot.allisg £2O will be given. Post entries will bo accepted for this event. A poultry show will again bo conducted on June 13, 14 and 15, and entries closo on May 31 for this division.
