Received Thursday, 11.55 p.m. HONG KONG, May 24. „ Chinese newspapers report a dis--aster in Lokchang, in the northern part of Kwangtung Province, where, following recent rains, a huge landslide occurred in the Kaiman mountains, overwhelming villages and burying scores of inhabitants. Later a great body of water gushed out of the mountainside, drowning many persons. Boulders falling in the river capsized boats. The total loss of life is in tho vicinity of 260.
