TPAIL OP GALE HAVOC AT NEW PLYMOUTH.— Leaving a trail of havoe in its wake, what is described as a combined tornado and waterspout swept across New Plymouth on Thursday evening, ln its narrow pathway houses were unroofed, trees uprooted, and power lines blown down. One house was practicaliy wrecked and a young woman severely injured. These photographs taken after the storm, give some indication of the severity of the visitation. Top, two houses on the fores hore which were first struck by the storm and unroofed. Bottom, the house between Mill road and Carrington road which received the most damage, and in which Mrs. J. Scobie was injured.
