United Press iVssociation.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SHANGHAI, April 11. A thirty-six hour search over the sea by air, failed to locate the huge Sikorsky amphibian plane, which disappeared while carrying mail from Shanghai to Canton. The last wireless message from itlio plane stated that site was lost in the fog over Hangkow Bay and was attempting to return to Shanghai. The wireless ceased suddenly. Searching planes and tugs have been handicapped by fog. The Sikorsky carried two American pilots and onq Japanese passenger. This is the second disaster which has befallen the Shanghai-Canton air mail. Last November the initial flight was marked by a tragedy when the Sikorsky crashed on the mountain on an island in the same locality, due to fog.
