“ WALTZING MATILDA ” TELLS ABOUT THOSE WHO CARRY SWAGS “Waltzing Matilda” is the quaint title by which the next Pat Hanna film production, coming to the Palace shortly, will be known. It is a title which iB well known in Australia, and is the term used for those men who are forced to “carry the swag” in search of work. The title is particularly appropriate in tbeir picture, as the story centres around the famous “Chic” Williams of “Diggers” and “Diggers in Blighty” —caught by the depression—humping his bluey, along with his pal Jim, to the big station wbero a Scots friend is overseer. There is plenty of comedy m “Waltzing Matilda,’ the nonchalant, Pat Hanna and the witty Joo Valli providing many laughs. “Waltzing Matilda is the most elaborate of the Pat Hanna productions. Its outdoor scenes were filmed out as one of the big sheep sta tions in Victoria, and no expense was spared to ensure these scenes being typical of Australian “outback” life.

A famous Broadway entertainment, George White’s “Scandals,” ( a revue similar to the late Florenz Ziegfeld’s “Follies”), will be filmed by Fox. The present intention is to make the screen “Scandals” an annual productiono.
