Exchange on New York is 5.13 J dollars to £l. PRICE OF GOLD LONDON, Nov. 13. The price of gold is 129 s ltd per oz. line. AUCKLAND THE FIRST WOOL SALE
The first wool auction of the New Zealand selling season will bo held in Auckland on November 27. Clips arc beginning to come in to the wool stores at a steady pace. Changeable weather has interrupted shearing to some extent, but every advantage is being taken of line weather, and this week should see operations expedited. There is every prospect of the catalogue limit of 25,001) bales being reached early next week.
The wool offering so far is of a generally higher standard than last year, but, until the clips have been fully examined no fair estimate of tho quality can be given. Included in the wool already in the stores are large quantities from North Auckland, and from districts nearer to the city. Waihcko clips, which are always expected to bring high prices, are now coining in. As far as prices are concerned, there is an optimistic feeling of higher values. BRADFORD TOPS FIRM LONDON, Nov. 13. The Bradford tops market is Arm and business is reported as active.
