The Tivoli

'■HOTEL CONTINENT All” "Hotel Continental,” at the Tivoli. Theatre, was inspired by the destruction of the famous old Waldorf-Astoria ! Hotel to make way for a more modern office building. Celebrity Pictures have centred their hotel mystery drama about, a famous old metropolitan hotel on the eve of the day it is to be given over to the wreckers. The plot centres about a wallet that; contains 100,000 dollars, and the interest of three different factions in the recovering of the wallet. Jim Bennett, an ex-convict, is interested in the money because he hid it in one of the rooms of the hotel some years before. A gang of crooks, knowing that he will make an attempt to recover it on this last night, have planted a. beautiful girl accomplice in tho hotel to gain his confidence and learn where the money is hidden. Authorities, .feeling sure that Bennett, once released from prison, will make one final effort at getting the money, have garrisoned the hotel, with detectives to stop him when he leaves. Tragedy is narrowly averted, and the story moves swiftly to its climax when the girl decides to go through with her promise'to the gang. A matinee will bo held this afternoon.
