More Becoming Mode In Beach Skirts

The hundreds of women who care little for the trousered mode in the form of slacks, shorts or pyjamas for beach wear may be jubilant at the provision made for them this year by designers of beach ensembles. Several new and graceful skirted modes have made their appearance and promise to become serious rivals of the much-dis-cussed trousers. These new styles provide a wrapabout skirt and shirt blouse or short jacket, giving the wearer an appearance of being fully dressed for the street. The skirt is held by three or four large pearl buttons, so that it is quickly cast aside on tho beach. Some suits boast a pair of matching shorts under the skirt. The skirt mode has a special appeal for the many women who do not care to be conspicuous on their way from seaside hotels or homes to tho surf beach. One very attractive beach skirt was cut on circular lines, and when unbuttoned and removed it mado an excellent cape-wrap after bathing.
